Rocky Balboa died for your sins

In my life as a unpaid analyst of cinema (pronounced snottily like seeeenima), I find myself noticing all kinds of Christian imagery, metaphor and symbol in the movies -- often to the irritation of friends and family.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, they say. Case in point, the studios' new post-Pa$$ion of the Chri$t marketing m.o. is to find Jesus on every overpass wall; and if He's not there, to spray paint Him there.

You've obviously missed the deep christological meaning of the Rocky movies.
