We had a Golden born green, too. Same shade. It was amazing and our children brought her to school to prove it to the teachers and students who didn't believe. As soon as the mother cleaned her off and we saw her color, our oldest immediately named her O'Leary.
O'Leary was with us for over fifteen years, until this past summer when she had to be put down. It only took about nine months or so after her birth for the color to fade to a yellow-white.

That's sweet. O'Leary. Amazing isn't it how attached families get to pets, esp dogs. 15 years is an eternity of happy memories.
