Celeb divorce watch

What? Madonna meeting with Sir Paul's divorce lawyer?

Utterly impossible. Totally. I heard she was Catholic.

Warming up in the bullpen of total impossibility: Brangelina; Sandra and her mechanic fella; Harrison and Calista; Demi and Ashton; Michael and Catherine Z-J; Tom and Posh, er, I mean Katie; Jennifer and Marc; etc.

Predictableness

Step One: Fiery Father Pfleger goes over the top, doing his Pastor Rob Parsley Meets Jeremiah Wright schtick one too many times.

Step Two: Father gets removed by Cardinal.

Step Two: Parishioners give Pfleger their praise and adoration, plus a dollop of anger at said Cardinal, plus indignant demands that the pastor be reinstated immediately. Youth ministry leadership vows to pray and fast and "sit in."

Loopy, political sermons like this have what to do with the gospel, exactly?

And I thought liberals had a monopoly on Being Nice[TM].

Pray for Cardinal George. Show of hands -- who'd want to be a bishop these days?

Ding, dong, the book is done

Emmaus Road Publishing now has in their possession the manuscript of Sex au Naturel: How to Understand and Explain Catholic Teaching On Birth Control, by your 'umble narrator.

I know that many of my loyal readers have been damaged emotionally for not having regular Seize the Dei posts. But fear not. Captain Pat is now back in the leather swivel chair perched behind the shp's steering wheel, plying the waves, getting you where you need to go. Or some other metaphor.

So put those pills away and stop by the com box.

'm'kay?
